BOOKS IN THE HOOSIER GIRL

“A world without books would be hell to me.”

Amanda Marrow.The Hoosier Girl

Can you imagine a world without books? I can. It’s not hard to do. Sadly, there are people who never bring books into their homes. Their lives. Their worlds. They exist year after year without ever reading. I say exist because that’s what they do. Merely exist. It’s not until one learns that there are millions of other parallel universes found in books in which they can escape existing in their boring, depressing and lonely realities and enter fabulous new and exciting alternate worlds and start truly living. Books are magick. Reading has the power to change your life for the better. A well-read person has more intelligence, a better vocabulary, and a greater ability to engage in conversation. These three benefits alone can open the doors to better grades, higher paying jobs and more respect.

Amanda, the female protagonist in The Hoosier Girl, has learned this valuable life lesson. She’s had her bibliophile cherry “popped” by reading Anne of Green Gables. Now she devours books because she loves learning and living vicariously (or not) through trith the stories, plots and most importantly the beautiful and rare words of others. Christian, on the other hand, is not a reader. (Spoiler Alert) But that’s about to change in the sequel The Vagina Hunter.

If you’re reading these words, then chances are you live in a world with books. CONGRATULATIONS! Keep up the awesomeness! And if you’re not a big reader but have somehow found your way to this page via The Hoosier Girl, let me whole-heartedly welcome you with open arms. I’ve created this page to list all the books that were mentioned in The Hoosier Girl, just in case anyone wants to meander into parallel universes and alternate world of other authors and experience what they have to offer. The list is extremely diverse. My suggestion would be to join Goodreads, read about the books and their reviews. Then follow me on Goodreads (as well as my other social medias) and if you’re interested in any of the books, come back here and purchase it through the link below.
